Brush Creek Campground-Lawrence Township

In 1970 Brush Creek Campground was opened by Milton & Laverne Tangeman in Lawrence Township. This over 55 acre property was transformed into a popular family destination for travelers worldwide and Michigan residents. Located off exit 52 on I-94, the campground featured over 100 wooded sites and acres of rustic tent camping areas near Brush Creek. The campground contained a playground area, bathhouse/restroom facility, laundry facility, pond, over a mile of hiking trails, and picnic areas. Brush Creek campground operated for over 30 years, until the owner operator Milton Tangeman passed away.
